糖心vlog has made it easier for students to get help with financial aid, course registration, billing, admissions and more by co-locating services on the main floor of Knoles Hall on the Stockton Campus.
鈥淭his is a great example of areas collaborating on an idea that prioritizes the student experience,鈥 said Chris Ferguson, vice president for Enrollment Strategy, who led the effort to create the space.
The move will streamline transactions and provide a place where current and prospective students and families can ask questions. Additional services are being added, including student employment and PacificCard.
鈥淭his is fantastic and very helpful to our students,鈥 said Elizabeth Quijiano, admission services coordinator. 鈥淏efore students and families had to go to different buildings. Now everything is very accessible for them in one central place.鈥
Renovations were recently completed to include a lounge area and offices where students and families can meet privately with staff. A reception area was created within the financial aid office to help make families comfortable.
Students who access the center鈥檚 services are often assisted by their peers who are part of the 鈥淭iger Team,鈥 a cadre of student workers who can answer a variety of questions including what it鈥檚 like to attend Pacific.
鈥淎 lot of potential students came over the summer to learn more about applying. It was really easy for them to come here and talk to admission, then go and talk to financial aid,鈥 said Emily McGann 鈥23, who works in the center.
鈥淭his is a place where we want people to feel welcome and supported. That small extra step makes a big difference,鈥 McGann said.
Tiger One Stop is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Information is also available on the webpage.
